Our product pipeline is split between drugs and devices:
Futura Medical's product development strategy is focused on developing products with a predicted high return on investment and a low cost of development.
We focus exclusively on locally applied medicines or medicines used in combination with a medical device.
We use existing chemical entities only. This strategy enables us to offer an overall lower risk profile compared with developing new chemical entities as the safety profiles of the compounds we work with are well characterised. As a result overall risk of the investment is reduced as it increases the likelihood of regulatory approval and lowers the cost of development.
We have currently four main products in development for sexual health and pain relief management. These are CSD500, FLD500, MED2002 and TPR100.
SSL International has global distribution rights for both our condom products CSD500 and FLD500. SSL also recently signed a global development and licensing agreement for MED2002.
Commercial negotiations are continuing on a non exclusive basis with GlaxoSmithKline for the global distribution rights for TPR100, our topical pain relief product.
We are actively working on the next generation of product opportunities, including PET500, as well as evaluating the use of our proprietary delivery system DermaSys® in a range of other compounds.
